Kathy Hanohano
Kathy Ann Hanohano, 63, of Pahoa, died Aug. 20, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 27, 1958, in Hilo, she was a former manager at Keaau Dairy Queen and a member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by husband, Burton Hanohano; daughters, Danielle (Todd Perry) Richardson, Francelle (Adam Cruse) Hanohano and Rainy (Kyle Pang) Hanohano; brothers and sisters; aunty, Veronica Koizumi; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne De Motta
Wayne Gilbert De Motta, 65, of Hilo, died Sept. 7, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. He was a retired Hawaii County paramedic and formerly worked at Hilo Coast Processing Co. and was also a member of the Keaukaha Canoe Club, Hawaii Firefighters Association, Black Belt from Honomu Judo Club, fisherman and a hunter.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 7 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. celebration of life.
He is survived by daughters, Kimberly De Motta and Kaycie (Ryland) Uchima of Pepeekeo, and Keala (Jason) Abadilla of Hilo; parents, Gilbert and Hannah De Motta of Hilo; brothers, Dr. Howard (Lyn) De Motta of Mililani, Oahu, and Wesly (Selena) De Motta of Pepeekeo; sister, Gayle (Kenneth) Higa of Hilo; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Noralene Leeanne Ah Lo, 52, of Hilo, died Aug. 23, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was the owner of the former Hairstyles by Nora.

Mindy Miranda Babchuk, 44, of Hilo, died July 23, 2021 in Honolulu. Born Sept. 9, 1976, in Germany, she worked at Bay Clinic Hilo.

Paul Kumekichi Nahinu, 59, of North Kohala, died July 14, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 24, 1962 in North Kohala, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a golf course maintenance worker and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kohala Ward.
