Emilia Seaver
Emilia “Mele” Seaver, 78, of Waikoloa, died July 31, 2021, at her residence. Born in Honolulu, she was a member of the Waikoloa Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a homemaker and gardener.

She is survived by husband, Raymond Seaver of Waikoloa; daughters, Lianna, Kathleen and Andrea; sisters, Jane and Danielle; four grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ronald Bachman
Ronald Eldon Bachman 84, died Aug. 6, 2021, at his residence. Born in Hoolehua, Molokai, he was a retired wildlife biologist, outdoorsman and served with the Hawaii Army National Guard.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at 85 Kalo St. in Hilo for a drive-through visitation.
He is survived by children, Diana Awaa of Makawao and Randall Bachman of Hilo; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, aunts and cousins.

Kimiko Chinen
Kimiko Mary Chinen, 89, of Hilo, died July 25, 2021, at a private care home. Born in Koza City, Okinawa, she was a retired factory worker at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory and member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou and Hui Okinawa.
Private services held.
She is survived by children, Eriko (David) Kurashige of Torrance, California, and Julie Chinen and George (Pamela) Chinen, all of Hilo; and three grandchildren.

Michael Palmer
Michael Clyde Palmer, 69, of Waikoloa and Johnstown, Colorado, died Aug. 9, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 4, 1951, in Santa Monica, California, he was a business owner and a sound board builder for radio station, scuba diver, member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a board member of Homeowners Association for Waikoloa Colony Villas.

He is survived by wife, Gloria Palmer of Waikoloa; sons, Aaron Palmer of Greeley, Colorado, and Ben (Paige) Palmer of Timnath, Colorado; daughter, Melissa Freeman of Johnstown, Colorado; mother, Betty Palmer and sister, Kit (Mike) Schroeder, all of Ft. Collins, Colorado; and five grandchildren.

Victoria Ghalamfarsa
Victoria Ghalamfarsa, 91, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 9, 2021, at her residence. Born June 17, 1930, in Shiraz, Iran, she was a housewife.
