Simplicio Carpio Sr.
Simplicio Carpio Sr., 79, of Waimea died Aug. 3, 2021, in Honolulu. Born Nov. 20, 1941, in Sanchez Mira Cagayan, Philippines, he was a baker at the Mauna Kea Beach Resort.
Limited services will be held at Ballard Hilo for both Loretta and Simplicio. Burial will be at Hawi County Cemetery.
He is survived by sons, Simplicio (Virginia Rapoza) Carpio Jr. of Paauilo, Vernal (Suzanna Lopez) Carpio of Ainaloa, and Stuart Carpio of Clackamas, Oregon; daughters, Lisa (Dennis) Peters of Honokaa and Lori (Carl) Crossley of Henderson, Nevada; brothers Saturnino Carpio of Kohala and Arsenio Carpio of Opihikao; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Gilbert Loando
Gilbert Loando, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 7, 2021, in Kailua Kona. Born Nov. 10, 1933, in Honomalino, he was a retired Ranch Hand for Hualalai Ranch.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by sons, Gilbert Loando Sr. of Honaunau, Darin (Phoebe) Loando of Waianae, Oahu, and Blaise Loando of Kailua-Kona: six grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Lorraine Lindsey
Lorraine Tomiko Lindsey, 80, of Waimea, died Aug. 10, 2021. Born Sept. 5, 1940, in Wahiawa, Oahu, she was a retired office worker from Hawaii Preparatory Academy.
Private services will be held.
She is survived by son, Troy Lindsey; daughters Tina (Jon) Mossman and Tracie Lindsey; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
