Stop catering to the tourist lobby
Stop catering to the tourist lobby
As the coronavirus surges in Hawaii all we are seeing our politicians do is double-down on failed policies. Hawaii residents must demand a reinstatement of pre-travel testing from the mainland and interisland — regardless of vaccine status. Will this effect tourist numbers, sure. But it will also reduce the virus spread, hospital admissions and deaths as well. Our leaders must stop catering to the corporate tourist lobby. As virus numbers soar these folks are charging more for lodging and food than ever before and still not bringing the full workforce back. This is a lose-lose for residents. Crowded beaches, highways and other infrastructure and nothing in return except growing virus numbers. Please remember these double-down politicians who seem to only care about the corporate lobbies that donate to their races and not about the regular people that have to live here.

Pretty simple
Why I am vaccinated and wear masks.
Jesus said, “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31
I would have people be vaccinated so they do not give me COVID-19. I would like for people to wear masks so they do not expose me to COVID-19.
Since I am a follower of Jesus Christ, I must do what he said which means I got vaccinated, I wear a mask, and I maintain distance, except for an occasional hug. Pretty simple, huh?
