Donald Bearth
Donald Anthony Bearth, 62, of Kailua-Kona died July 14, 2021, at his residence. Born Dec. 1, 1958, in St. Paul, MN. he was head baker and owner of the former Suzanne’s Bakeshop.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. July 23 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona for Mass. There will be a gathering at the family home after Mass. A private burial will be held at a later date.
He is survived by mother, Suzanne; brother, Daniel (Darlene) Bearth of Kailua-Kona; sister Joy (Gerry) Brazier of Kailua-Kona; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joseph Mahoe
Joseph “Joe” Hanaike Mahoe, 77, of Kailua-Kona, died March 23, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 30, 1943, in Kalihi, Oahu, he was a construction worker for Goodfellow Brothers and Isemoto Contracting companies, lifeguard, marathon runner, black belt in martial arts, sensei of Kara-Ho Kempo, prize-winning pigeon racer, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and member of Disabled American Veterans.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 23 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery for a service. The family request casual attire.
He is survived by daughters, Julie (Joseph Hekekia Jr.) Mahoe of Hilo and Joyal (Jaushlyn Mansinon) Mahoe of Oahu; sons, Jonas Mahoe and Jennings Mahoe, both of Kalaoa, and Jairus (Jill Anne Del Pilar Villa Rosa) Mahoe of San Diego; sisters, Kuulei Adams and Ululani Ikeda, both of Nanakuli, Oahu, and Bunnie Mahoe of Maile, Oahu; brothers, Willie (Marlene) Mahoe of Kapolei, Oahu and Allen (Charlita) Mahoe of Nanakuli, Oahu; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronald Walter I. Souza, 82, of Mountain View and Haleiwa, Oahu, died June 2, 2021, in Honolulu. Born in Waialua, Oahu, he was a retired heavy equipment operator foreman and a member of the Hawaii Operating Engineers Union, Local 3.
Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. July 24 at Liliukolani Protestant Church in Haleiwa, Oahu, for a 10:30 a.m. service. Aloha attire.
He is survived by sons, Russel (Karen) Souza and Ryan (Kimberly) Souza; daughters, Marlene (James) Abrigo, Maylene (Richard) Kamakea, and Melanie (George) Hatchie; brother, Fred (Nani) Souza; sister, Patricia Reynolds; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Bernadette Beverly “BeBe” Amar, 72, of Pepeekeo, died June 27, 2021, at his residence. Born in Hilo, she was a retired sales associate with Sears Roebuck &Co. in Hilo, a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Pepeekeo Community Association.

She is survived by husband, Manuel Amar Sr. of Pepeekeo; sons, Manuel Amar Jr. and Thimothy (Jenifer) Amar of Pepeekeo; daughter, Rachel (Chazten Fukuhara) Amar of Pepeekeo; sisters, Luana (Walter) Leite and Stephanie Anderson of Hilo; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and umerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Russel Botelho Sr.
Russel Amos Botelho Sr., 69, of Mountain View and formerly of Paauhau, died June 29, 2021, at his residence. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired diesel mechanic with the former Paauhau &Hamakua Sugar companies, a business agent for the ILWU Local 142 and a private investigator with Victor V. Vierra and Associates and a baseball coach for Honokaa High School.

Jeffery Wong Belanio Jr., 44, of Captain Cook, died July 11, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 21, 1977, in Kealakekua, he was a heavy equipment operator for West Hawaii Excavation and Big Island Landscaping, an auto mechanic and a welder.
