Richard Rabisa

Richard Rabisa, 89, of Lakewood, Washington, died June 25, 2021 in Lakewood, Washington. Born April 30, 1932, in (Kaiwiki) Hilo, he was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Friends may call at 1:45 p.m. July 22 at Glad Tidings Church, 116 Kapiolani St., in Hilo for a 2 p.m. service.

He is survived by wife, Donna Feldman of Lakewood, Washington; son, Jerry (Betty) Rabisa of Lakewood, Washington; daughter, Joanne (Donald) Benear of Maryland; four grandsons; brother, Uncle and Milton Rabisa of Hilo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jack Napeahi

Jack Manaole Napeahi, 80, of Hilo, died June 18, 2021, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a retired stevedore/longshoreman.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 31 at Hilo Missionary Church, 1044 Komohana St., in Hilo, for a 10 a.m. service.Burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section).

He is survived by wife, Carol Napeahi of Hilo; daughters, Annette (Paul) Ragasa of Kauai and Patricia (David) De Mattos of Laupahoehoe; sons, David (Charlotte) Napeahi and Jason Napeahi of Hilo; hanai daughter, Kahealani Napeahi of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Roberta Howard of Reno, Nevada and Helen Napeahi of Hilo; 12 grandchildren; three-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

James Kahoilua Jr.

James “Trix” Kahoilua Jr., 68, of Hilo died Jan. 25, 2021, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a handyman.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. July 24 at Alae Cemetery (Mormon Section) for a drive-through visitation; service to follow at 11. Casual attire.

He is survived by son, Chadwick Majamay of Washington; and siblings, Jeannie (Tim) Minahan of Wisconsin, Jeanette Kahoilua of San Diego, California, Pauline Kahoilua of Hilo, Maggie Kahoilua of Kona, and Teddy Kahoilua of Keaau.

Wilfredo Icalla

Wilfredo “Danny” Sanchez Icalla, 69, of Waikoloa, died June 26, 2021, at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in March 1952, in St. Praxedes Cagayan, Philippines, he worked at Hilton Grand Vacation as public attendant, was a produce clerk at KTA Waikoloa Village, president for the Association of the Barangay Council in the Philippines, and former Sanguniang Bayan Member (councilman) in the Philippines

Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 26 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10:30 a.m. service. Cremation to follow at Dodo Mortuary Crematory

He is survived by wife, Estrella Guirpo Icalla of Waikoloa; children, Ellen (Fred Galatola) Icalla of Australia, William (Marilou) Icalla, Walter Icalla and Cristie Anne (Hermilo) Solis of Waikoloa, William Grace (Marlon) Galapia of St. Praxedes, Philippines; siblings, Jose (Aida) Icalla and Rudy (Edgardo) Ragsac of St. Paraxedes, Philippines, Teresita (Roger) Guerpo Ventura of Waikoloa and Alfred Joseph Icalla of the mainland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Stanley Gonsalves

Stanley Gonsalves, 86, of Kohala, died June 11, 2021 at his residence. Born Dec. 25, 1934, in Kohala, he was retired from Waikoloa Beach Golf Course, had worked for the former Kohala Sugar Company and Orchid Pacifica and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kohala Senior Citizens and Kohala Senior Softball.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Hawi County Cemetery for a graveside urn committal service. The family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Madeline Gonsalves of Kohala; daughters, Lee Ann (Michael) Ashimine and Lanette Yamamoto of Kohala; sons, Stan Anthony (Renee) Gonsalves of Kohala, Neal Kimo (Shaurin) Gonsalves of Honokaa; brother, Dennis (Carol) Gonsalves of Hilo; sisters, Ruby Fukuyama of Arizona, Jane (Charles) Kircher of California; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
