Albert Ferreira
Albert Boyd Ferreira, 68, of Hilo, died June 17, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired boiler and control room operator for HELCO, retired history teacher at Hilo High School, past president for the Hawaii State Teachers Association (HSTA) Hilo Chapter, member of Akaka Falls Lions Club and YMI Francis Council #573.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
He is survived by wife, Karen Ferreira of Hilo; sons, Travis Ferreira and Zachary Ferreira, both of Hilo; daughter, Alisa (Kenneth) Lorenzo, of Waimea; sister, Rhonda (Steven) Pang of Waipahu, Oahu; brother, Carl (Cindy) Ferreira of Makakilo, Oahu; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven Texeira
Steven Texeira, 61, of Kealakekua, died June 23, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 4, 1959, in Kealakekua, he was a bus driver for Alamo, Enterprise and National Car Rentals, owner of Any Kind Rocks, restaurant manager for the former Fisherman’s Landing; a truck driver for Menehune Water Co., a pitcher of the Hilo Vulcans baseball team, and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. July 10 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Honaunau for a 10 a.m. Mass. Condolences may be sent to Steven Texeira Jr. at PO Box 551, Kealakekua, HI 96750.
He is survived by son, Steven Texeira Jr.; sisters, Anita (Gene) Wong of Honolulu, Susan (James) Morton of Kealakekua, Betty (Joe) Chee of Kailua-Kona and Linda Johnson of California; hanai brother, Leonard (Sudy) Jose of Kona; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
