One new COVID-19 cases was reported by state health officials Wednesday on the Big Island, bringing the total case tally to 3,151 since late-February 2020.
Statewide, 30 new cases were reported by the Department of Health with 24 of those cases on Oahu, three in Maui County and one on Kauai. Four cases were among residents diagnosed out of state.
Since the end of last February, 37,134 people have tested positive for COVID-19 across Hawaii.
The Big Island still had a 3.3% seven-day positivity rate, over the state’s 1% positivity rate on Wednesday. Over the last 14 days, 182 cases have been reported on the Big Island. Over the past week, the island has reported an average of 14.4 cases per day.
One new coronavirus-related deaths was reported on Wednesday on Oahu. Of the 507 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed and reported by the state to date, 393 were on Oahu, 55 were on Maui, 54 were on the Big Island and two on Kauai. Three deaths were among residents outside the state.
