Cheryle Uehara
Cheryle Annie Polena Uehara, 76, of Mountain View, died May 3, 2021, at her residence. at home. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a retired administrative supervisor at Hilo Medical Center,a former employee at Wal-Mart, Kama’aina Motors, a cook at Keaukaha Mart, and a Ppastor of Get High on Jesus Ministry at Mo’oheau Park in Hilo.
Services will be held at a later date.
Survived by husband, Matsu Uehara of Mountain View; sons, Tyler Arizumi of Mountain View; step-son, Matsu Uehara Jr. of Waianae, Oahu; step-daughter, Kristi (Brandon) Carvalho of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Irene Gomes of Hilo, and Carol (Randall) Nakasato and Lora Cardines of Pepeekeo; brothers, Samuel (Betty) Santos of New Mexico and Roy Santos of Waimea; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Joshua Ayala
Joshua “Josh” Manoa Kawaiolahiamaikalani Ayala, 19, of Hilo, died April 13, 2021, at his residence. Born July 5, 2001, in Hilo, he was a landscaper.

He is survived by mother, Michele Ayala of Hilo; brothers, Robert-Preston Ayala and Mikey-Boy Ayala, both of Hilo; sister, Angelina Ayala of Hilo; grandmother, Maria Smith of Hilo; and grandfather, Curtis Leialoha of Keaukaha.
