More than 27,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered across the state over the weekend, bringing the total number doses in arms to 1,334,012, the Hawaii Department of Health reported Monday.
More than 27,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered across the state over the weekend, bringing the total number doses in arms to 1,334,012, the Hawaii Department of Health reported Monday.
To date, Hawaii has been awarded 1,129,330 COVID-19 vaccine doses of which 1,093,800 had been received as of Monday, according to the department. Of the doses received, 86% or 944,410 doses have been administered statewide, including 138,572 on the Big Island.
In addition to the vaccine doses administered by the state, 186,473 doses have been administered via the federal pharmacy program and 143,167 via federal agencies.
Including state and federal resources, about 51% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 40% have completed inoculation.
On the Big Island, 50% of the Island population, or about 79,080 people, has received at least one dose and 38% have completed the vaccination process, according to the Department of Health.
The state is currently in Phase 2 of its vaccination plan, with all individuals 16 years of age and older eligible to be inoculated.
