The state reported Monday more than 1.22 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered across Hawaii, including nearly 138,000 doses on the Big Island alone.
To date, Hawaii has been awarded 1,067,470 COVID-19 vaccine doses of which 1,031,840 had been received as of Monday afternoon, according to the Department of Health. Of the doses received, 91% or 939,256 doses have been administered statewide, including 137,964 on the Big Island.
In addition to the vaccine doses administered by the state, 145,456 doses have been administered via the federal pharmacy program and 140,726 via federal agencies.
Including state and federal resources, at least 49% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while 39% have completed inoculation.
On the Big Island, 50% of the Island population, or about 78,868 people, has received at least one dose and 38% have completed the vaccination process, according to the Department of Health.
