Angelina Lawrence
Angelina “Angie” Ann Lawrence, 87, of Hilo and formerly Paauilo, died Feb. 24, 2021, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Kona, she was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 8 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; Mass will begin at 10. Casual attire.
She is survived by daughter, Pamela (Mark) Pereira of Hilo; son, James Lawrence of Hilo; brother, Julian (Susan) Martines of Kona; sister, Patsy (Augustine) Torres of Honolulu; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Franklin Dacanay
Franklin “Patch” Dacanay, 75, of Hilo, died March 23, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Olaa, he retired from the County of Hawaii Wastewater Division, was a former president of the Alii’s Motorcycle Club, a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran, Purple Heart with Gold Star recipient, and fisherman and hunter.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. May 10 for a committal service at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Casual attire.
He is survived by sons, Rio (Robyn) Taylor of Kihei, Maui, and Micah Dombrowski of Pennsylvania; daughters, Chelsea Dacanay, Jacqueline Dacanay and Sky Dacanay, all of Hilo; sister, Rose Marie (James) Organ of Olaa; four grandchildren; one great grandson; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Raymundo Josue
Raymundo Jimeno Josue, 93, of Hilo, died April 10, 2021, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born March 6, 1928, in Manila, Philippines, he was a carpenter and last employed at Oshiro Tofu.

He is survived by wife, Elena Josue of Hilo; sons, Herminio (Flor) Josue of Melbourne, Australia, Reynaldo (Veronica) Josue of Mountain View, and Luis (Joy) Josue of the Falkland Islands; daughters, Estelita (Eddie) Camacho, Lea (Jun) Acance and Luz (Victor) Catalan, all of Melbourne, Australia, and Liza (Gary) Menino of Hilo; sister, Naty Barles of Manilla, Philippines; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John O. Matias, 76, of Keaau, died April 19, 2021, at his residence. Born in Honolulu, he was the owner of JOM’s Janitorial Service.
