Douglas Ward Jr.
Douglas Calvin Ward Jr., 74, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 26, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 28, 1946 in Van Nuys, California, he was a retired sales representative for HFM Food Service, former district manager for Trans-Pacific Restaurants and, food and beverage manager for Kona Hilton Resort and Keauhou Beach Hotel.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by wife, Paulette Ward of Kailua-Kona; son, Douglas Ward III of Keauhou; sister, Laura (Neil) McCann of Australia; brother, Calvin (Jean) Ward of California; six children; two great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn Loa
Glenn Kaleo Loa, 57 of Hilo, died Jan. 11, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by sons, Joshua Guerrero and Kalena Guerrero-Loa; daughters, Leilani Guerrero-Loa and Sabrina Guerrero-Loa; brother, John Carvalho; sisters, Leslie Colby and Toni Odle; and numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Thomas Nowlin
Thomas Jeryll Nowlin, 78 of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 30, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in California, he was a general contractor, a hobby racecar driver, and member of Knights of Columbus Jaycees.

He is survived by sons, Tommy Nowlin and Jeff Nowlin; daughters, Bobbie Mills, Mandy Nowlin, Leslie Nowlin and Shelby Nowlin; brother, Leonard Ray Baker Jr.; sisters, Mary Jane Davenport, Toni Floyd, and Linda Lehman; and numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Allen “Fuj” Nobuo Fujie, 64, of Hilo, died Jan. 6, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 29, 1956, in Hilo, he was a carpenter and member of the Carpenters Union Local 745.

He is survived by wife, Nela Valledor Fujie of Hilo; son, Avery Fujie of Hilo; daughter, Ashley-Rae (Reyn) Fujie-Fukuki of Hilo; sister, Joyce (Carl) Arakaki of Hilo; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Francille Kahiwahiwa Sui Lan Lee, 84, of Kekaha, Kauai, died Jan. 11, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Waimea, Kauai, he was a custodian and caregiver with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a member of both the Keaau and Kekaha wards.

He is survived by sons, William (Blanca) Lee of Volcano, Ed-Ryan Lee of Waianae, Oahu, and Shad-Boone Lee of Kamakani, Kauai; daughters, Edylin Lee-Rodriguez of Tijuana, Mexico, Salome (Tay) Crivello of San Anselmo, California, and Anuenue (Nalani) Mose-Kanahele of Eleele, Kauai; brother, Kealii Sam Fong of Papakolea; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Sheri Lawson
Sheri Suzanne Lawson, 44, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 13, 2021 at her residence. Born in Findlay, Ohio on Dec. 29, 1976, she was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the County of Hawaii-Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
She is preceded in death by her father, Max J. Lawson, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Lawson of Keaau; sisters, Beth (Tim Reed) Lawson of Keaau and Carolyn Lawson (Tyler Chumney) of Ohio; brother, Nathan Lawson of Toledo, Ohio; nieces and nephew.
