Sheri Lawson
Sheri Suzanne Lawson, 44, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 13, 2021, at her residence. Born Dec. 29, 1976, in Findlay, Ohio, she was a deputy prosecuting attorney for the County of Hawaii-Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
Services will be held at a later date.
She is survived by mother, Barbara Lawson of Keaau; sisters, Beth (Tim Reed) Lawson of Keaau and Carolyn Lawson (Tyler Chumney) of Ohio; brother, Nathan Lawson of Toledo, Ohio; and four nieces and one nephew.

Fred Soriano
Fred R. Soriano, 76, of Hilo, died Jan. 7, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, he was a retired professor of sociology and cultural anthropology with the University of Hawaii at Hilo, a stone sculptor, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by wife, Bella Soriano of Hilo; daughters, Natasha Soriano (Ronald Mangaoang) and Bianca (Juan III) Martines of Hilo; brothers, Jose (Mary) Soriano and Rueben (Bobbi) Soriano of Hilo; three grandchildren; and nephews and a niece.

Brigido Quebral Sr.
Brigido Aguinaldo Quebral Sr., 90, of Pepeekeo, died Jan. 11, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 8, 1930, on Oahu, he was a boiler room attendant and a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. in Pepeekeo, and a member of Pepeekeo Community Organization and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Jan. 30 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial at Mauna Kea Memorial Park in Papaikou.
He is survived by wife, Cristina Bareng Quebral of Pepeekeo; sons, Nicanor (Teresita) Quebral and Mario (Marylou) Quebral of Hilo, Brigido (Lydia) Quebral Jr. and Jerry Quebral of Pepeekeo, Alex (Chona) Quebral of Sacramento, California, and Jeffrey (Brandy) Quebral of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Yolanda (Joel) Ballesteros of Honolulu and Mila (Ken) Tokuda of Pahoa; sisters, Aurora (Bayani) Araw and Caridad Villanueva of Pepeekeo; 20 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Feliza Jara
Feliza Baclig Jara, 92, of Naalehu, died Jan. 9, 2021, at her residence. Born May 6, 1928, in Cabugao, Philippines, she was a retired macadamia nut picker for the Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Co. in Ka‘u and a member of the Naalehu Assembly of God Church.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. Jan. 30 at the Naalehu Community Cemetery for a graveside service.
She is survived by son, Rollie (Catherine) Jara of Naalehu; daughter, Myrna (Edwin) Ocol of Honolulu; two grandsons; three granddaughters; brother, Felipe Baclig of Philippines; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
