State provides breakdown of COVID vaccines delivered to each county

Hawaii County has received just under 5,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to data released Wednesday by the state Department of Health.

The county was in possession of 2,925 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 2,000 of the Moderna vaccine, according to the state. In total, 33,450 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines have reached the Aloha State.

Note: Allocation decisions are based on several things, including cold storage capacity and ability to administer vaccines. Operation Warp Speed shipped fewer does of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Maui and Honolulu than expected.
