Up to 2 inches of snow forecast for Hawaii Island summits

The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope is seen shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday. A winter weather advisory has been posted for the Mauna Loa and Maunakea summits through 6 p.m. Friday. (CFHT/Special to West Hawaii Today)

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday for the Mauna Loa and Maunakea summits.
