Michaela Rudolph

Michaela Akapito Rudolph, 60, of Keaau, died Oct. 4, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Micronesia and was an elementary school teacher and principal in Micronesia.

Visitation 3-5:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel. Prayer service at 3 p.m. Limited seating (10 people), face masks and social distancing required. Burial at a later date in Chuuk, Micronesia. Casual attire.

She is survived by husband, Iowanes Rudolph of Keaau; sons, Marnes (Dervy) Iowanes and Martinet Rudolph of Keaau, Branson Rudolph of Vancouver, Wash., Maximillian (Josephine) Rudolph and Pellarmin (Vianne) Rudolph of Chuuk, Micronesia; daughters, Mairanta Rudolph and Mae Rose Rudolph of Keaau; brothers, Ireneus (Balbina) Akapito of Arizona, Eliseus (Carleen) Akapito of Chuuk, Micronesia and John (Atalua) Akapito of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Vita (Bob) Skilling of Kosrae, Micronesia, Rita (Leo) Mori, Ana Maria (Felix) Yomai and Margarita Akineo of Chuuk, Micronesia; 11 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ina Koch

Ina Heide Koch, 78, of Captain Cook, died Oct. 11, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 19, 1942, in Germany, she was a ceramacist and a member of SKEA (Society for Kona’s Education and Art).

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by hanai daughter, Keahi Kapela and four hanai grandchildren.

Julia Bailado

Julia Huilana Bailado, 86, of Honaunau, died Oct. 20, 2020, at Straub Clinic and Hospital. Born June 14, 1934, in Ookala, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, UE Club and Kona Kupuna Club.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by daughters, Laveinia (Harry) Respicio of Hilo, and Sorania (Gene) Miller of Honaunau; sons, Emelio (Guti) Bailado Jr. of Germany, Jeffrey Bailado of Honaunau, Darryl (Mercy) Bailado of Wahiawa, Oahu, and Curtis Bailado of Honaunau; sisters, Linda Molina of Pahoa, Mattie Alcoran and Blosom (Robert) Traeger of Kailua-Kona; brother, Pedro (Jamie) Barawis of Ocean View; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Keith Lupenui

Keith Kaiwi Lupenui, 54, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 19, 2020, in Waimea. He was born May 16, 1966, in Honolulu.

He is survived by parents, Michael and Betty Lupenui; children, Maoli and Kapo Lupenui; grandson, Makana Lupenui-Loggins; brothers, Mark (Cheryl) Lupenui and Christian K. (Dayna) Lupenui.
