Burritt Wakeman
Burritt A. Wakeman, 66, of Ocean View, died Sept. 26, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Norwalk, CT, on Nov. 4, 1953, he was a retired carpenter.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his brothers, Theodore Wakenan of Ocean View and Robert Wakeman of Rhode Island.

Benito Utrera
Benito Viloria Utrera, 76, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 12, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on March 21, 1944, he was a stock clerk for KTA Stores. He also worked for the former Kona Lagoon and Hyatt Regency hotels. He was a member of the American Legion, Salvation Army Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
Services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his sons, Norbene Utrera and Ben (Regina) Utrera of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Victoria (Floren) Caluya of Reno, NV; brothers, Otilion Utrera of Phoenix, AZ, Jose (Amelia) Utrera of Kailua-Kona; sister, Virginia (Mar) Tabios of Kailua-Kona; a sister-in-law; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeffrey Layne Fernandez
Jeffrey Layne Fernandez, Sr., 66, of Kohala, died Oct. 25, 2020 at his residence. Born Dec. 15, 1953 in North Kohala, he was a self-employed farmer and a member of the Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kohala.
He is survived by wife, Wendy Fernandez of Kohala; sons, Jeffrey Fernandez, Jr. and Peter (Sharmin Giron) Fernandez of Kohala; daughters, Raenette (Landry) Yangson of Anchorage, Alaska and Fran (Shannon) Javillonar of Kawaihae; mother, Nora Lee Fernandez of Kohala, brothers, Robert (Emelia) Fernandez of Kohala and Harry (Visitacion) Fernandez of Kamuela; hanai brother, Harold (Rose) Switzer of Oahu; sisters, Elizabeth Kagimoto and Lenora (Kyle) Oshita of Kohala; Rosalia (Darren) Steinhoff of Mililani and (Tony) Aumua of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers in-law and four sisters-in-law; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rena Cafirma Albano, 80, of Keaau, died Sept. 29, 2020 at Hawaii Care Choices. Born Oct. 23, 1939, in Pipias Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; she was a Proprietress papaya farmer and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call from 9-9:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. Face masks and social distancing required; burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section) at 1 p.m.
She is survived by sons, Bernard Albano of Keaau and Mario Albano of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Ofelia Ramento of Honolulu, Marichu Paz of Keaau and Mardiorie (Michael) Villamor of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Rufino Cafima of Honolulu and Arnie Cafirma of Keaau; sister, Victoria (Elpidio) Villaruz of Keaau; four sisters in-law; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn Harumi Oki, 76, of Hilo, died Oct. 14, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center.
Private family service was held. Her family respectfully requests no flowers or Koden (monetary donations) be given.
She is survived by husband, Wallace Oki of Hilo; sons, Jamie Tengan of Hilo, Douglas (Pam) Oki of Hilo and Layne (Michelle) Oki of Hilo; brothers, James (Tracy) Uyehara of Honolulu, Charles (Charlene) Uyehara of Mililani and Chris (Kelly) Uyehara of New York; three grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Yoshiko Nakada Ishiki
Yoshiko Nakada Ishiki, 93, of Kukuihaele, died Oct. 11, 2020, at home. Born in Waimea, she was a retired food service manager from Honokaa High &Elementary School, a food service manager at the former Kukuihaele School and a member of Honokaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Buddhist Women’s Association.

She is survived by daughters, Ann Marcia Ishiki and Colleen Ishiki of Honolulu; son, Brian (Diane) Ishiki of Waikoloa; sister, Yoneko (Frank) McNeil of Colorado; grandson, Christopher Ishiki; numerous nieces and nephews.

Michie Okajima, 91, of Hilo, died Oct. 20 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired bookkeeper and member of the Wainaku Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Dominga Novencido Estabillo Ayala, 94, of Hilo, passed away on Oct. 17 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born on May 12, 1926, in Luna La Union, Magallanes, Philippines, she was a retired macadamia factory worker for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company. She also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Friends may call on Nov. 12 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Nathaniel “Nate” Charles King, 33, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 25, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 28, 1987 in Ventura, CA, he was a tree trimmer for Kuhio Golf &Beach Club.
