Samuel Kaaua Jr.
Samuel Parker Kaaua Jr., 83 of Waimea, died Oct. 8, 2020 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired fireman for the County of Honolulu and a member of Outrigger Canoe Club, Elks Club, Molokai Yacht Club, Waikiki Beach Boys, and Hui Lanakila Canoe Clubs.

Margaret Callan
Margaret “Margie” “Marjay” Bernadette Callan, 86, of Naalehu, died Oct. 17, 2020, in Hilo. She was born June 13, 1934, in North Kohala, and was a substitute teacher, housekeeper at Punalulu Sea Mountain Condominiums and Kahuku Ranch, and worked in the macadamia industry for Mac Farms. She represented Naalehu United Methodist Church at many conferences over the years, was a regular at the Naalehu Senior Center, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and reading to elementary school children.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Nov. 7 at Naalehu United Methodist Church. Funeral service at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Seating is limited, masks, and social distancing required. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no food or beverages will be available. Aloha attire, flowers welcome.
She is survived by daughters Bridget Pittman, Cynthia (Richard) Bugado; sons Tim (Terry) Wright, Kenneth (Trisha) Wright; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Fumiko Kai
Fumiko Kai, 93, of Hilo, died Sept. 16, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Kealakekua on Oct. 26, 1926, and was retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Education as a secretary at Kau High School, and was a member of the Pahala Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
Private services were held. No flowers. No Koden (monetary offerings).
She is survived by sons, Steven (Sharon) Kai of Tucson, AZ and Russell (Sharon) Kai of Mountain View; daughters, Priscilla (Cary) Shimamoto of Kailua, Oahu, Barbara (Gerald) Takase of Hilo and Lorraine Kai of Hilo; brother, Masashi Kitaoka of Captain Cook; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Asuncion Domingo
Asuncion Damaguen Domingo, 76, of Captain Cook, died Oct. 9, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Lidlidda, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Jan. 12, 1944, she was a housekeeper at the former Keauhou Beach Hotel and a member of the Saranay Club.
Services will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Quirino Domingo Sr. of Captain Cook; daughter, Qny (Eric) Mukai of Arizona; son, Reno (Kahala) Domingo Jr. of Captain Cook; sister, Zenaida Domingo of Kealakekua; hanai mother, Conchita Domingo of Philippines; six grandchildren.
