Learn more about the UH Manoa Online Education: Interdisciplinary Studies Bachelors Programs! The University Center is hosting two zoom informational workshops 12-1 p.m. and 5:30- 6:30 p.m. Nov 2. In this workshop we’ll explore two online options for the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies including the pre-planned track in Social Sciences of Oceans and the self-designed track in Human Relations in Organizations.

Parashat Lech L’cha Torah Study
Join the Kona Beth Shalom Torah Study, 11 a.m. Oct. 31 via Zoom. The group usually spends about two hours reading and discussing. This week, Lech L’cha (Go Forth) featuring passages from Genesis on Abram, his family, and covenant with God.

VFW events next week
A special Friday meal will be held Nov. 6 with Ola Brewing Company’s signature flatbread pizza, caesar salad and dessert for $15. Served 4-7 p.m. There will be inside seating per new state guide lines. Since the Ola donation must be premade, orders are strongly recommended at 808-769-8643. Checks are acceptable. Mask guidelines are required for entrance into the Post. All veterans, their family, guests and the public are welcome and encouraged to support this important income source for the Post.
Sharon continues to sell homemade one of a kind greeting cards during Friday’s dinner service with a portion of proceeds donated to the VFW Post.
Marine Corps League reservations have started with Dale Ross at 425-244-6230 for the annual Marine Corps League ball. It will be held 2-5 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Post. Cost is approximately $40/person for beef brisket or roasted chicken, rice or mashed potatoes, vegetable, dessert and cake/champagne/ sparkling cider.
Taco Tuesday continues on Nov. 10 for $7 with ground beef or shrimp, rice and beans from 4-7 p.m. with bar service. New State guidelines for indoor seating will be followed with to go orders encouraged.

“Messiah” sing-along via Zoom in December
What is Christmas without the singing of Handel’s Messiah? ‘Tis the season to sing — from a distance. This free sing-along of Part I of G.F. Handel’s Messiah will take place on 4-5:30 p.m. Dec. 13. Dust off your Messiah score and sing along with us on Zoom (or, if you do not have a score, you can follow along on Zoom on your device)!
