With the new cases, Hawaii’s total case count now stands at 5,349 since Feb. 28.
Of the new cases, 124 were on Oahu, seven were on Maui, and three were on Hawaii Island, according to the Hawaii COVID-19 Joint Information Center.
One of the new cases on Hawaii Island was among a person who had recently traveled to Oahu, DOH Director Dr. Bruce Anderson said Tuesday afternoon.
The majority of the cases have been reported on Oahu at 4,878 cases. Maui County has recorded 242 cases, Hawaii County 152 and Kauai County 54. Twenty-three residents have tested positive while out of the state.
Of the Hawaii residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 1,921 of those cases have since recovered and been released from isolation. Twenty-two of the Big Island’s 152 known COVID-19 cases to date remained active Tuesday.
Statewide, 300 or 6% of COVID-19 patients have required hospitalization, including six on Hawaii Island.
Of the 41 deaths reported among Hawaii residents, 34 were on Oahu, six were on Maui and one was a Kauai resident receiving treatment in Arizona at the time he died.
