Devin Miles Jr.

Devin Scott Keawe Miles Jr., 6, of Ocean View, died June 22, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 20, 2014, he was a student at Naalehu Elementary School.

Private services will be held.

He is survived by mother, Joley Naihe; sister, Jovanni Naniho-Naihe; grandparents, John and Madeline Naihe of Ocean View and Rebecca Miles of Pahoa; great-grandmother, Mary Lou Danfield of Pahoa; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mitsuko Woolery

Mitsuko Woolery, 88, of Pahoa, died June 28, 2020, at home. Born March 25, 1932, she was a retired factory worker for Zoto’s Hair Products in Geneva, N.Y.

Private service held.

She is survived by daughter Kathleen Woolery of Pahoa; brothers Ira Woolery of Hilo, Jerry (Cynthia) Woolery of Charlotte N.C., William (Ginny) Woolery of Watertown N.Y.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

Albert Chock

Albert Mew Chock, 76, of Kailua-Kona, died July 2, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 27, 1944, he was a carpenter, and a veteran in the Army National Guard, and a member of the Kona Horse Shoe Pitchers Club, Hauoli Hoaloha Motorcycle Club, and Hawai Kai Canoe Club.

Services pending.

He is survived by brother, Thomas Chock; sisters, Lani Chock and Janice Cook; hanai daughters, Belinda Rosa and Antoinette Vasconcellos; and a nephew, niece, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Sumayo Nakamura

Sumayo “Sue” Nakamura, 93, of Hilo, died July 1, 2020 at her residence. Born Nov. 7, 1926, in Hilo, she was a retired family and children aide for the state Department of Human Services, a member of the Piihonua Kumiai, Hawaii Association for Family and Community Education, Hawaii Government Employees Association Retirees Unit, was on the board of directors of the Hawaii Shima Fukuoka Kenjinkai, was an active volunteer with Retired &Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and recipient of the 2006 County of Hawaii “Outstanding Older American Award” and a member of Community of Christ Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by sons, Glenn Nakamura and Alton (Junette) Nakamura, all of Hilo; daughter, Lynne (John) Holub of Pahoa; sister, Nancy Torigoe of Honolulu; brother, Goichi Hamasaki of Kailua (Oahu); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
