Lawrence Young Jr.

Lawrence Romaine Young Jr., 90, of Hilo, died June 21, 2020 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born Feb. 10, 1930, in Seattle, he was retired and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Private services pending.

No known survivors.

Letitia Mae

Letitia Mae, 42, of Hilo died June 17, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in April 1978 in Hilo, she worked at Kilauea Military Camp in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Miyo’s Restaurant in Hilo, and IHOP in Hilo.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by daughter, Charmine Silva; parents, Timoteo (Laynette) Macayan Pabro Jr. of Kauai and Lynette (Jason) Shrader of Hilo; grandparents, William and Jo-Ann Mae Sr. of Hawaiian Paradise Park; sisters, Jennifer (Raymond) Adrian of Volcano and Tiara (Peter) Pabro Riviera of Keaau; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

“Peggy” Margaret Ellen Sankot

Margaret “Peggy” Ellen Sankot, 81, of Hilo died June 19, 2020. Born March 14, 1939, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, she was a head nurse at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic in San Francisco and a massage therapist for Kona Village Resort.

Jo Ann Redding

Jo Ann Redding, 76, of Kealakekua, died June 22, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 9, 1943, in Detroit, she was employed at the Regency at Hualalai.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by son, Mark (Lisa) Egan of Sarasota, Floorida; daughters, Sarah (Jeffrey King) Egan of Kealakekua, and Audrey (Michael Johnson) Egan of San Francisco.

Erdinio Bautista

Erdinio Namnama Bautista, 72, of Keaau, died May 7, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 6, 1948, in Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; he was a macadamia nut picker and a member of the New Hope (Filipino Ministry).

Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. July 10 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a service. Friends may also call at 10 a.m. July 11 for a service at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section).

He is survived by wife, Felicitas Bautista of Keaau; daughters, Kharen (Alex) Alunday and Sharlyn (Jayson) Aguibay of Keaau; sons, Harris (Citadel) Bautista and Lesley (Anielyn) Bautista of Keaau; seven grandchildren; brothers, Severino (Lourdes) Bautista and Juanito (Josephine) Bautista of Honolulu; Silverio (Maria Salve) Bautista, Samuel (Pacita) Bautista, Irineo (Hilda) Bautista, Larry (Anna Grace) Bautista and Elmer (Margie) Bautista all from Keaau; sister, Delia (Manuel) Prado of Keaau; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
