Both high bacteria count advisories issued for Kailua Bay have been canceled, the state Department of Health reported Friday afternoon.
Advisories were issued earlier this week after high levels of enterococci were found in samplings of ocean water from the Niumalu and Kamakahonu beaches. The Department of Health’s Clean Water Branch stated Friday that the levels no longer exceed the EPA threshold for enterococci at 130 per 100 mL.
