Yukiko Uchida
Yukiko Yamashita Uchida, 90, of Keaau, died May 8, 2020 at home. Born June 17, 1929, in Olaa, she was retired from First Hawaiian Bank and a member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Women’s Association and Keaau Village Association.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by daughter, Grace Uchida of Aiea, Oahu; brothers, Henry Yamashita of Cerritos, Calif., Edward (Betsy) Yamashita of Rosemead, Calif., Herbert (Rachel) Yamashita of Keaau; sisters, Thelma Abe of Tacoma, Wash., Sue (Edwin) Sugimoto of Carson, Calif., Barbara (Alvin) Jitchaku of Hilo; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.

Kenji Kawai
Kenji Kawai, 82, of Hilo, died May 18, 2020, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Facility in Hilo. Born Aug. 15, 1937, in Kamakura, Japan, he was the retired representative and president of Allied Signal Inc. Asia, and a member of the Japanese Community Association of Hawaii and Duffers Golf Club, Swingers Golf Club, Hustlers Golf Club, Holona Golf Club and Two Ten Golf Club.
Services are pending.
He is survived by wife, Ann Kawai of Hilo; sons, Akio (David McCauley) Kawai of San Francisco and Seiji (Fumiko) Kawai of Tokyo; daughter, Setsuko (Sheldon) Johnson of San Diego; sisters, Mikako Ito of Kamakura, Japan and Taeko Adachi of Kanagawa, Japan; six grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Michael Teuton Sr.
Michael Eugene Teuton, Sr., 69, of Kailua-Kona, died May 19, 2020, at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born Nov. 13, 1950 in Nashville, Tenn., he was a retired doctor of obstetric and gynecology, a USMC and U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by wife, Chu Li Teuton of Kailua-Kona; children, Alison Teuton of North Carolina, Sarah Teuton, Michael Teuton Jr. both of South Carolina, John Teuton of Maine; brother, Kenneth Teuton of South Carolina; sister, Cheryl Meadows of Georgia; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Marlena Dixon
Marlena Irene Castro Dixon, 41, of Hilo, died May 15, 2020 at home. Born Sept. 11, 1978, in Hilo, she was worked for the state Department of Health Epidemiological Branch as an epidemiologist specialist, formerly served as the U.S. Senate liaison on the Big Island for current U.S. Sen. Brain Schatz, and member of the Community of Christ Church.

She is survived by husband, Ryan Dixon of Hilo; son, Aiden Makana Dixon of Hilo; sister, Genia (John) Castro Fick of Redlands, California; brother, Troy Castro of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sally Ligaya Louis, 73, of Pahala, died May 15, 2020 in Honolulu. Born March 4, 1947, in Pahala, she was a licensed cosmetologist, member of Pahala Senior Center and lead coordinator of Ka’u High School Alumni.
