South Kona water conservation notice canceled

The Hawaii County Department of Water Supply Monday afternoon canceled a water conservation notice for customers in South Kona

The department on May 4 had advised customers in the Honalo, Kainaliu, Keei, Kealakekua, Napoopoo, Honaunau and Hookena to conserve water. The restriction followed “unexpected equipment malfunctions.”

With the conservation notice canceled, normal water use may resume, the department said Monday.
