Davelyn Kauhi
Davelyn Healani Kauhi, 69, of Hilo, died April 7, 2020 at her residence. Born July 23, 1950 in Hilo, she was a former sales clerk for Ross Dress for Less in Hilo, a school health aide for the Department of Education and a member of Community of Christ Church in Hilo.

She is survived by husband, Neki Kauhi Jr. of Hilo; sons, Grant (Anne) Kauhi and Jason (Lynelle) Kauhi, all of Hilo, and Brandon (Ashley) Kauhi of Kona; brother, Bradford Camara of Oahu; sisters, Gale (Sam) Lee Loy of Oahu and Caron (Clyde) Tachibana of Hilo; five grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellen Kainoa
Ellen Kainoa, 95, of Hilo, died April 7, 2020 at Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born on Feb. 3, 1925 in Hawaii.

She is survived by son, Nathan (Cheryl De Lima) Kainoa; daughters Katherine Kainoa, Pauleen Kainoa; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Suzanne Kita
Suzanne Kita, 76, of Hilo, died April 4, 2020 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Fort Benning, Ga., she was a children’s book author, English professor at Windward Community College and Hawaii Community College and an active member of the Center for Spiritual Living in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

She is survived by sons, Scott Kita and Oran Kita of Hilo; sisters, Carol Rimmer and Eileen Therrell.

Milton Pavao
Milton D. Pavao, 71, of Keaau died April 5, 2020, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired manager/chief engineer with the County of Hawaii Department of Water Supply and was a graduate of Hilo High School and the University of Hawaii Manoa.

He is survived by wife, Paula Pavao of Keaau; son, Anthony (Alicia Mercado) Pavao of Keaau; step-sons, Curtis (Tina) Pacleb of Virginia and Zachary (Pam Nachor) Pacleb of Hilo; step-daughter, Celeste (Wayne Fischer) Pacleb of Colorado; brother, Alvin (Len) Pavao of San Diego; sister, Pam Pavao of Keaau; uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Shannon Sakae Horiuchi, 65 of Hilo died April 13, 2020. Born in Honolulu; he was a retired County of Hawaii park caretaker.

Eric John Wilson Sr., 52, of Keaau died March 27, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a fumigator for Hilo Termite &Pest Control, former welder, member of New Hope Hilo and an avid car racer.
