Renae Cantyne
Renae Jean Keakealani Cantyne, 71, of Hilo, died April 5, 2020, at her residence in Hilo. Born in Hilo on Feb. 14, 1949, she was the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel director of housekeeping and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ainaola Ward.
Private funeral services were held. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survived by daughters, CharlaRae (John Stuard) Mendoza of Hilo, Joy (Gene) Madriaga of Hilo, Kelliane (David Hao) Mahi of Hilo and Karilyn (Peni) Tilini of San Tan Valley, AZ; brother, George “Billy” (Carol) Fields of Kailua-Kona; a sister-in-law; step-sons James (Suzette) Cantyne, Jr. of Kamuela, Robert Cantyne of Kona, Michael (Randy Carillo) Cantyne of Sacramento, CA and David (Regina) Cantyne of Troy, Texas; step-daughters Lisa (Chris Kershner) Ramos of Kamuela, Natalie (Ceward) Juan of Kamuela and Monica (Don Souza) Cantyne of Hilo; hanai sister Shirley (Howard) Leu of Washington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Charles Thompson
Charles Robert Thompson, Jr., 76, of Kealakekua, died March 18, 2020, at Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Honolulu on Feb. 18, 1944, he was a retired security officer for Securitas Security Services; a U.S. Navy retiree, member of DAV (Disabled American Veterans), and St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his son, Anthony (Danielle) Thompson of Kealakekua; daughters, Josephine Thompson of Kihei, Maui, Leticia (Raul) Rodriguez of San Bernardino, CA., and Geraldine Johnston of Kailua-Kona; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elaine Dochin
Elaine Hi’ilawe Fergerstrom Dochin, 94, of Waimea, died Apr. 12, 2020 at her daughter’s residence in Waikoloa. Born in Waimea, she was the co-owner of the former original Kamuela Meat Market and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimea Ward.

Survived by daughters, Antoinette (Frank) Hess of Waikoloa, Lisa Ann (Charlie) White of Waimea; sons, Walter Dochin of Waimea, George (Nadine) Dochin of Waimea; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, numerous nieces &nephews.
