Cheryl Mae Tokihiro, 62, of Hilo, died March 29, 2020 at her residence. Born Dec. 12, 1957, in Hilo, she was a retired office manager at an optometrist office.
Private services held. No flowers. No koden (monetary offerings).
She is survived by husband, Clyde Tokihiro of Hilo; mother, Doreen Lucas of Hilo; sister, Karen Lei Lucas of Hilo; brother, Noland Craig Lucas of Los Angeles, California; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

John Hance
John C. “Skip” Hance, 90 of Hawaii, died March 25, 2020 at home. Born Nov. 2, 1929, in Honolulu, he was a retired Amfac Inc. Sugar plantation manager from Puna Sugar, Lihue Plantation, Kauai and Pioneer Mill Co. Lahaina, Maui.

He is survived by children, Linda (Peter) Baldwin of Poipu, Kauai, Chris Hughes of Chicago, Katherin Nalani Hance of Ahualoa, Julie Hance of Keaau, John (Sara) Hance of California, and Tricia (Tony) Cruz of Keaau; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

Albert “Abe” Evan Remmy Jr., 72, of Hilo, died March 31, 2020 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Feb. 20, 1948 in Akron, Ohio, he was wood artist and logger.

Jerry Kaaiakamanu III, 70, of Pahoa, died March 21, 2020 at home. Born in Puunene, Maui, he was a master generator technician and vice president of C&A Generator Service Inc. and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by wife, Sally Kaaiakamanu; daughters, Sarah Kaaiakamanu and Amy (Wayne) Kenison, all of Pahoa, and Cayenne (Kelley) Higgins of Vancouver, WA; sisters, Wilma Ortiz of Vancouver, WA, Jerry Ann Wells of Kahului, and Gracelyn (Danny) Chung of Honolulu; brother, Gordan (Gail) Kaaiakamanu of Kaneohe, Oahu; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
