A womans body was found Saturday morning near the Wainaku Scene Lookout just outside of Hilo, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
A woman’s body was found Saturday morning near the Wainaku Scene Lookout just outside of Hilo, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
The identity of woman is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin. However, the body was located in the general area where Megan May Funderburk was last seen the evening of Feb. 9.
Police detectives with the Area I Criminal Investigation Section are continuing this investigation. At this time, foul play is not suspected. An autopsy will be performed early this week to determine the exact cause of death.
