KAILUA-KONA — Police are investigating the death of a 34-year-old Kailua-Kona woman found Tuesday afternoon in an abandoned home in Kealakehe.

Lucille Arboleda was the subject of a missing persons bulletin and search Tuesday afternoon involving police, fire, family and friends on the ground and in the air.

Arboleda was found deceased in an abandoned home in the Kealakehe subdivision, Hawaii Police Department officers on the scene confirmed shortly after 5 p.m. Detectives remained on the scene as of press time.

Arboleda was reported as missing by her father on Sunday night after she had gone for a walk around 10 a.m. that day and hadn’t returned. The father said his daughter usually goes on walks every day, but normally returns three to four hours later, according to police.

No additional information was immediately available.
