DWS work to cause delays

KAILUA-KONA — Traffic delays should be expected Tuesday and Thursday as Department of Water Supply crews will be working on Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 19) between Nohomalu Place and White Road in Waimea.

Crews will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the area, which stretches between mile markers 53 and 54, to install two new water services, the department said in a Monday press release.

One lane with traffic control will remain open throughout the installation. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to plan accordingly.
