Police locate missing Kailua-Kona man, 66

UPDATE: Hawaii Island police report that William Palea, who was reported as missing, has been located. He was found on Tuesday in Kona.

KAILUA-KONA — Police are searching for a 66-year-old Kailua-Kona man who has been reported as missing.

William Palea was last seen at his Kailua-Kona residence in the morning on Monday, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

He is described as being “local,” standing 5 feet, 9 inches and weighing 180 pounds, according to police. He has brown eyes and white hair.
