Annie Hulama
Annie “Ann” Laura Hulama, 88, of Hilo, died Sept. 23, 2019, at home. Born on May 13, 1931, in Mountain View, she was a former bartendress and a member of the Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corp.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 25 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Wake service begins at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9-10 a.m. Oct. 26 at the mortuary. Funeral Service is at 10 a.m., burial to follow at 12:15 p.m. at Alae Cemetery, Section H. Casual attire.
She is survived by sons, Mike (Kaoi) Hulama, Sr., Gerard “Bush” (Nova) Hulama, Sr., Jesse (Debbie) Hulama, Sr. and Stanford “Puggy” (Linda) Hulama, Sr.; daughters, Rowena (Ronald) Silva, Joanne “Joey” Hulama and Faye (Terrance ChongTim) Williams; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ronald Takahata
Ronald Masami Takahata, 95, of Hilo, died Aug. 19, 2019, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Pahala, he was a businessman and proprietor of the former Quality Auto Supply in Hilo, U.S. Army World War II Military Intelligence Service veteran and member of Hilo Interpreters Club, Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hawaii Island Kumamoto Doshikai and Y’s Men’s, also AJA, Keaau Seniors, Pioneers and Wanderers Golf Clubs and Papaikou Hongwanji and Kamana Karaoke Clubs.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
He is survived by wife, Elaine Takahata of Hilo; son, Terrence Takahata of Honolulu; daughters, Marcia (Wesley) Shimokawa of Lihue, Kauai, Joan (Dr. Bryan) Ito of Hilo; one daughter-in-law; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark Beveridge
Mark Stephen Beveridge, 61, of Pepeekeo, died Sept. 17, 2019, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Santa Ana, Calif., he was a retired software program manager for Raytheon formerly Hughes Aircraft.
Private services will be held. Family requests no koden and no flowers.
He is survived by spouse, Faye Beveridge of Pepeekeo; daughter, Krista Ohashi of Torrance, Calif.; son, Tyler Beveridge of Torrance, Calif.; sisters, Karol Shettlesworth of Corvallis, Ore., Deborah Beveridge of Arcadia, Calif., and Sharon Robinson of Saugus, Calif.; mother-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard Urasaki
Mr. Richard Masaaki Urasaki, 85, of Hilo, died on Aug. 26, 2019, in the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born May 7, 1934, in Hilo, he retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant and also retired from the University of Hawaii at Hilo Auxiliary Services Department.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Oct. 5 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Memorial service will begin at 11. Casual attire is requested.
He is survived by wife, Kimiko Urasaki of Okinawa; sons, Rev. Alan (Cheryl) Urasaki of Pearl City, Oahu, Tracy (Kenlyn) Urasaki of Kahaluu and Masato (Kaori) Urasaki of Okinawa; brother, Herbert Urasaki of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Dee Dee Kosa
Dee Dee Maxine Kosa, 87, of Waikoloa, died Sept. 24, 2019, at her daughter’s residence. Born in Seattle, she was a homemaker, an avid golfer and member of the Waikoloa Ladies Golf Club and Useless Bay Country Club in Washington.
Private services will take place at a later date.
She is survived by daughters, Kris (Ed) Kosa-Correia of Honokaa, Karen (Lindsay Bemis) Kosa of Gig Harbor, Wash., Laurine (Mike Spoor) Kosa of Cle Elum, Wash.; son, Jon Kosa of Clinton, Washington; brother, Paul (Marilyn) Tanzer of Canby, Ore.; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise Winn
Louise “Lou” Lacey Winn, 74, of Honaunau, died Sept. 21, 2019, at her residence. Born Nov. 13, 1944, in Glen Ellen, Calif., she was a coffee farmer and volunteer for SKEA, Puuhonua O Honaunau and the County of Hawaii Civil Defense Disaster Preparedness Program.
A celebration of life will be held noon Oct. 5 at Puuhonua O Honaunau picnic area. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to SKEA, P.O. Box 256, Honaunau, Hawaii 96726. Condolences to the family may be sent to S.Winn, P.O. Box 8, Honaunau, Hawaii 96726.

Carrie Lynda Hurst
Mrs. Carrie Lynda Hurst, 61, of Holualoa, died Sept. 20, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1958, in Palm Beach, Fla., she was a homemaker.
Funeral service were Sept. 30, 2019 at Kona Outdoor Circle.
She is survived by her husband, David Robert Hurst of Holualoa; daughters, Sara Drennan of Bellvue, Colo., Shelby Hurst and Haley Hurst of New Orleans, La.; sons, Jason Hurst of Caledon, Ontario, Canada and Rhylan Hurst of Lewiston, N.Y.; seven grandchildren.

Emma Gliceria Ancheta Corpuz, 68, of Hilo, died Sept. 11, 2019, at her residence. Born May 13, 1951, in La Union, Philippines, she was a nutrition aide for the State of Hawaii and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call 5-6 p.m. Oct. 6 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service is at 6 p.m. Friends may call again 8-10 a.m. Oct. 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Celebration of Mass begins at 10 a.m. Casual attire; burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section.
