Authorities are in the process this morning of tearing down an unpermitted structure along Daniel K. Inouye Highway near Puuhuluhulu.
The structure, which was built by protesters of the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope on Maunakea, is being called a library and learning center for the students in the protest.
Police said this morning there is traffic congestion on Daniel K. Inouye Highway, also known as Saddle Road, and are advising motorists driving cross-island to take an alternate route if the commute is time-sensitive.
