Kevin P. Young, 51, died Aug. 9, 2019. Born on March 13, 1968, he worked for Apple, was an avid sportsman and lived in San Francisco and Kona.

He is survived by parents, Robert and Carol Young, Bear Creek, Wis.; sisters, Renee Young, Madison, Wis., Lisa (Jeremy) Schmoll, Bear Creek, Wisc., Amy (Bryan) Schultz, Suamico Wisc.; life partner, Wing Wong; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Walter and Isabel Young; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Virginia Seefeld; five uncles; two cousins, and a cousin in-law.

Bert Kanoa
Bert Kanoa, 73, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 12, 2019, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born June 21, 1946, in South Hilo, he was a bus driver for Robert’s Hawaii and Grayline and a groundskeeper at the former Kona Surf Resort.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 31 at Lanihau Ranch on Henry Street across from Crossroads Professional Building in Kailua-Kona. Celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Loando Kanoa of Kailua-Kona; sons, Bert (Seveanita) Kanoa of Kapaau and Bradley Kanoa of Mountain View; daughters, Juanita (Chad) Smith, Bernalyn Kanoa and Ipo (Trenton) Johnson, all of Kailua-Kona; hanai daughter, Amanda Caron of Kalaoa, Kona; brothers, Arnold (Jerri) Lum of Waimanalo, Oahu and Gerald (Jerri) Lum of Maui; sister, Sandra (Paul) Dias of Laupahoehoe; other siblings, Lawrence, Albert, Charles, Jeanne, Florence, Beatrice, Mildred, Carol and Joyce; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

John Carvalho, Jr.
John Carvalho, Jr., 86, of Holualoa, died July 10, 2019, at his residence. Born June 15, 1933, in North Kohala, he was a retired laborer, member of Hawaii Laborers Union Local 681 and a U.S. Army veteran.

Donovan Goo
Donovan Goo, 71, of Pahoa, died July 23, 2019. He was a graduate of Kamehameha Schools, a retired forestry technician with the USDA Forest Service, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Emily Lorraine Keohuloa, 87, of Pahala, died Aug. 11, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahala, she was a retired housekeeper and member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Pahala Senior Citizens Club, and American Legion.
Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Aug. 31 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Funeral Mass begins at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Pahala Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire.
