Ethel Sumiko Yogi, 91, of Hilo, died June 1, 2019, at home. Born Nov. 18, 1927, in Kukuihaele, she was a retired owner of Anthuriums of Hawaii and member of Hilo Meishoin and Hui Okinawa.

She is survived by husband, Seigi Yogi of Hilo; brother, Richard Kanemoto of Honolulu; sisters, Nancy Lyum and Velma Oshiro of Honolulu; three grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Manaiakalani Saito, Micayla Munechika, Mari Munechika; nieces and nephews.

Delphine Parra
Delphine Barbara (Funn) Parra, 70, of Hilo, died Feb. 22, 2019, at home. Born Nov. 11, 1948, on Oahu, she was a deli clerk and bartender.

She is survived by spouse, Frederick Parra of Washington; daughter, Darla (Greg) Requelman of Hilo; brothers, William (Nalani) Funn of Waimea, Michael (Zoe) James of Washington; sister, Francine Leialoha of Keaau, Lisa Woller of Florida; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mariano Abadilla
Mariano Sebastian Abadilla, 90, of Hilo, died April 26, 2019, at home. Born April 14, 1929, in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a farmer and member of New Hope Filipino Ministry.
Visitation will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. June 15 at Dodo Mortuary chapel. Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial at noon at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
He is survived by wife, Aurora Abadilla of the Philippines; son, Samuel (Delia) Abadilla of Oahu; daughters, Esmeralda (Ronald) Miyazaki, Evelyn (Julian) Agub, Imelda (George) Vinluan, Celia (Edwin) Ballesteros, Rosalie Abadilla, Filmar (Richard) Yambao and Grace (William) Lagura, all of Hilo; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Antonio Cawagas
Antonio Cawagas, 71, of Honokaa, died May 6, 2019, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Paauilo, he was a machinist for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and a retired Hapuna Beach Prince Resort groundskeeper, a member of the Honokaa United Methodist Church and U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. June 15 at Honokaa United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers.
He is survived by son, Antonio Cawagas of Oahu; daughters, Cara (Kellen) Cawagas of Oahu and Leah (Shane) Cawagas of Honokaa; brother, Felimino Cawagas of Keaau; sister, Gloria Lurendez of Pearl City, Oahu; four grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Stanley Ikeda
Stanley Hajime Ikeda, 90, of Hilo died June 3, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired freight supervisor for HT&T and a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

He is survived by daughter, Koren (Ronald Takata) Ikeda of Dana Point, Calif.; sister, Michiko Ikeda of Hilo; three grandchildren and a niece.

Bruce Biddle
Bruce Robert Biddle, 50, of North Kohala, died June 6, 2019, at his residence. Born April 28, 1969, in Platte, S.D., he was a crane operator and owner of Kohala Coast Crane.

Joan Jill Sakamoto, 55, of Glen Burnie, Md., (formerly of Hilo) died April 8, 2019, at her residence. Born Aug. 7, 1963, in Hilo, she was a floral designer at The Flower Basket Ltd. in Elliot City, Md.

Mitsue Oshima
Mitsue Oshima, 83, of Kealakekua, died May 9, 2019, in Kona. Born April 21, 1936, in North Kona, she was a bookkeeper and cashier at K. Oshima Store and member of Asahi Kumi, Daifukuji Fujinkai and Daifukuji Soto Mission.
Visitation will be held 10 a.m. June 22 at Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo. Memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire.
She is survived by daughters, Michele (Nathan) Oshima-Abe and Kathleen (Michael) Oshima-Abe of Kailua-Kona, Julie (Michael) Oshima-Ii of Kealakekua; one daughter-in-law; two brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
