Francis Lee
Francis Kainoa Sha Look Lee, 76, of Waimea, died March 30, 2019, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a member of the Imiola Congregational Church, truck driver for HFM and Y.Hata and worked in the maintenance department at Hawaii Preparatory Academy. He was an active waterman and an original crew member of the 1976 Hokulea voyage.
A celebration of life will be held at noon June 29 at the Lee residence in Waimea.
He is survived by sons, Kainoa Christopher (Carol Park) Lee of Kailua-Kona and Keali’iae’a Kenneth Lee of Waimea; brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Lee of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mildred Vereze
Mildred Anna Vereze, 88, of Hilo, died May 25, 2019, at her residence. Born July 22, 1930, in Hilo, she was a retired clerk at the former Pay &Save and Kress Store and a member of the Kawailani Kumiai and Malia Puka O Kalani Church in Hilo.
Friends may call 6-7 p.m. June 17 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 7 p.m. funeral service. Graveside service will be be 11 a.m. June 18 at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire.
She is survived by son, Wayne (Nancy) Vereze of Hilo; daughters, Donna (Anthony Moniz) Noguchi and Lori (Maida) Vereze of Hilo; sister, Lorraine Frias of Hilo; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; numerous hanai-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

David Roaque
David Kaniela Roaque, 56, of Hawaiian Paradise Park and Las Vegas died June 2, 2019, at home. He was born in June 1962 in San Francisco.
Private services will be held.
He is survived by wife, Shirley Filoteo Roaque; daughter, Megan Roaque of Calif.; stepchildren, Tandy Lynn (Isaiah), Noel (Journey), and Andy; sisters, Beverly Hookano and Candace Underwood; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Glenda Iopa
Glenda Kay Iopa, 69 of Hilo, died May 23, 2019, at home. Born May 1, 1950, in Santa Cruz, Calif., she was a family law attorney and former deputy prosecutor.

Glenda is survived by mother, Samie Olds of Hilo; son, Robert (Rachelle) Iopa of Honolulu; daughter, Kimberly (Kalei) Angay of Hilo; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hi’iaka Tauanuu
Princess Hi’iaka Richanda Aaliyah Mary Grace Mahina Napua Leimomi Ihilani Kaleo Anahera Tauanuu of Pahoa, died May 3, 2019, at 4 months old at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children on Oahu. She was born on Dec. 20, 2018 at Hilo Medical Center.
Service to be held on June 19 at Ballard Family Mortuary, Hilo. A family viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 19 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Hilo. Public viewing begins at 10 a.m. service at 11 a.m. Flowers are welcome. Memorial/celebration of life will be held 5-9 p.m. at Aunty Sally’s Luau Hale in Hilo.
She is survived by parents Santini and Austin Tauanuu of Pahoa; brothers, Kaulana, Kanehekili, Kalei, Toso Jr., Ikaika, Ali’i, La’akea and Kunia of Pahoa; sister, Haumea of Pahoa; hanai grandparents Kaleolani and Phillip Lasconia of Makaha; grandfather; great-grandmother; god mothers, god fathers; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Donald Fredericks
Donald Fredericks, 71, of Keaau, died June 2, 2019, at home. Born on Feb. 12, 1948, in Minnesota, he was a carpenter/woodworker, US Army veteran sergeant and former member of Big Island Orchid Society.
Graveside service to be held at noon June 17 at West Hawaii Veteran’s Cemetery No. 2.
Donald is survived by wife, Janis Betts of Keaau; brothers, Raymond (Cindy) Fredericks of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; sister, Ardyce Hart of Grand Forks, N.D.

Domingo Nicolas
Domingo Llana Nicolas, 91, of Keaau, died May 12, 2019, at Hawaii Care Choices. Born May 11, 1928, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was nursery worker for Greenpoint Nursery and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call 5-6 p.m. June 16 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 6 p.m. wake service. Friends may call again 8-10 a.m. June 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10 a.m. celebration of Mass. Casual attire. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section.
