KAILUA-KONA — A water restriction has been lifted for areas of South Kona following completion of unexpected repairs to a water tank.
The Department of Water Supply said repairs to the existing Keei “A” tank were completed by 4:15 p.m. Tuesday and service to customers in Napoopoo and Honaunau has returned to normal.
The department reported the outage around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. A water tanker was stationed near the intersection of Painted Church and Middle Keei roads during the repair work.
