Alexander Lewis
Alexander “Alex” Kuhio Kaaupuiki Kela Lewis, 50, of Hilo, died March 5, 2019, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired construction laborer, the founder and president of the Hawaiian Pride Motorcycle Club, member of the Laborers Union Local 368, Hilo Ohana Horseshoe Club and the Panaewa Association.
Memorial gathering 10 a.m. till pau April 20 at the Hawaiian Village at Puhi Bay. Casual attire, no flowers.
Survived by wife, Dorothy Poai-Lewis of Hilo; sons, Alika (Jenny) Nonies-Lewis of the mainland, and Arlington Kaliko Kuhio Kaaupuiki Poai-Lewis of Hilo; daughter, Asia Keolaokuupuuwai (Isaiah Amaral) Poai-Lewis of Hilo; mother, Laverne Lewis of Hilo; sister, Laurie Doria of Hilo; brother, George Kelemaneke Lewis of Hilo; a mother-in-law; a brother-in-law; one grandson, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Darchel Brown
Darchel Kuulei Brown, 44, of Hilo, died April 7, 2019, in Hilo. Born Oct. 12, 1974, she was a self-employed tax preparation provider.

Pamilea Waters
Pamilea E. Waters, 83, of Kailua-Kona, died April 4, 2019, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Clarinda, Iowa, on Nov. 27, 1935, she was a retired hostess at the former Jolly Roger’s Restaurant. She was a Teamsters union member, a housekeeper and caterer. She was a secretary for MGM studios in the early 1950s.
Private services will be held.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Waters of Kailua-Kona; son, Kevin (Shirley) Ivie of Anchorage; grandson, Jesse (Treena) Ivie of Wasilla, Alaska; granddaughter, Leighann (Shawn) Sok of Anchorage, Alaska; five great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

Michael Luke
Michael Richard Luke, 66, of Kailua-Kona, died April 9, 2019, in Kealakekua. Born Jan. 11, 1953, in Rochester, N.Y., he worked in sales of plumbing supplies.

George Flauta
George Pueblas Flauta, 84, of Charlotte, N.C., died Nov. 24, 2018, in Charlotte. Born in Mountain View and raised in Pepeekeo, he was a U.S. Army Korean and Vietnam War veteran.
