Tai Ga with Zettelyss Amora, RYT, is happening from 5: 15 to 6:30 p.m. on April 1 and from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 4. * This fusion of Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong is a system of physical movements, breath and mindfulness, which arouses and mobilizes chi, your vital life force energy. Chi is the basic, organic electricity of our biology responsible for the wellness, healing and repair of the body. A segment of meditation is included.

Yoga Basics with Janet Lam, meets from 8-9 a.m. every Monday. Start your week with a smile. Although not specifically a beginner’s class, the movement sequence can easily accommodate students new to yoga or returning to a yoga practice.

Tutu’s Quilters meets every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to noon with Kathy Lukens. This get together is for experienced as well as curious beginners to learn and practice quilting Hawaiian style. Initial supplies are provided or participants can bring something you are working on. Good company and encouragement guaranteed.

Senior Fit Club is offered at 1:30 p.m. for an hour every Monday, with a variety of modalities on DVD to choose from. Studies show that people who stay active are more likely to live longer and remain independent. Join this DVD-guided weekly exercise opportunity to maintain fitness in community at Tutu’s House.

Advanced Ukulele meets on Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. with students of Aunty Marjie Spencer; this group welcomes experienced players of all ages. Bring your ukulele and join in a morning of friendship and song.

Tutu’s House Writers’ Support Group meets on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Interested persons are invited to join this interesting group of new writers to published authors. Come prepared to share something you are currently working on with this engaging group in an encouraging place to explore your writing voice. Receive constructive feedback or comments if you desire.

Knitting &Knitting Support meets on Tuesdays from 12:30-3 p.m. with Gretchen Geisler, lifetime knitter. This class is for all skill levels ages 10 to adult. Bring your projects, get your knitting questions answered and visit with other knitters; stay as long as you can. Beginners will be guided into a suitable project.

Caregiving Conversations will meet on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon with professional caregiver Karyn Clay. Whether you are a caregiver by heart, hire or relationship, join fellow caregivers in sharing stories, support and inspiration.

Cancer Support Group for Women meets from 12:30-2 p.m. on Wednesday. Whether a survivor, currently in treatment, recently diagnosed, or coping with the effects of cancer on a loved one, you are invited to join this group to discover the power of healing through connection with others who share a common bond.

NIA ~ Fitness for Body, Mind, Emotions &Spirit is offered from 8:15-9 a.m. every Wednesday, with Megan MacArthur, Nia black belt instructor. This non-impact movement practice combines movements and philosophies from the fields of martial, dance and healing arts, Nia is set to diverse music from around the world, and done barefooted. All levels are welcome and encouraged. Through movement we find health.

Jungian Reading/Discussion Group facilitated by Jim Gordon, Ph.D, clinical psychologist meets from 10 a.m. to noon every Thursday. Join us as we read aloud the works of C.G. Jung and other Jungian Analysts. We are starting a new book this month; Jung’s Man and His Symbols. Please purchase your own copy (or use a Kindle) and bring it with you to our meetings. Zumba Gold (in a chair) meets from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Thurs., April 4 &18 with Renée Morinaka, Lic. instructor. This class is for those who have mobility or balance issues, but still love to move and dance. It includes (stretching) to upbeat music, and activates hand, arm, leg and body movements. We will be sitting during the entire class. Please bring water and wear covered shoes.

Chair Yoga is offered every Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. facilitated by Kit Hill, MA. This class is for those who seek a practice and may be limited around physical movement due to age, injury or balance issues. The movements are intended to stretch and strengthen the body without standing or lying on a mat. On-going participation is encouraged.

Scrabble for Newcomers meets from 1:30 to 4 p.m. every Friday. The long-time word-smith players are introducing a “new comers table” this month with an intention to welcome and encourage entry-level or “rusty” players. Full use of 2 and 3 letter word lists, relaxed rules and dictionary use to check spelling is permitted. No challenge penalty. If word is incorrect, player gets another chance to play. Youth and student players are welcome.

Scrabble Meetup gathers from 1:30 to 4 p.m. every Friday with Annabel Spielman. Word lovers of every age and skill level are encouraged to play this classic game with relaxed rules; dictionary use permitted. It’s a great way to retain and expand vocabulary, spelling, memory and observation skills in a congenial atmosphere.

The Ancient Art of Healing with Gemstones &Crystals with Mara Stevens will meet 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 7. Crystals and stones have been recognized and used across the ages by many ancient cultures in ceremony, diagnosis and treatment of disorders and disease. This program will introduce you to the science and energy of crystals and gemstones for healing, spiritual practices and enhancing the health and wellbeing of our lives and our planet on all levels.
