New recreation classes for seniors
County of Hawaii’s Elderly Recreation Services spring classes will be held starting April 1.
Classes run in 10 week sessions April 1 through June 7, excluding holidays, and are open to anyone aged 55 and older. Registration fees are $10 per 10-week session and can be paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
The classes are:
· Line Dancing Class (Intermediate) – Mondays at 9 a.m. at Yano Memorial Hall in Captain Cook
· Senior Fitness Class – Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m. at Kona Aerials at 74-550 Honokohau Street
· Tai Chi Class – Tuesdays at 9 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Ukulele Beginner – Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Ukulele Intermediate – Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Hawaiian Culture Exploration – Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Old Judiciary Building/Civic Center in Kohala
· Beginner Swimming – Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. at Konawaena High School Pool
· Mah Jong – Tuesdays at 1 p.m. at Old Judiciary Building/Civic Center in Kohala
· Fishing Beginners Class – Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Tai Chi Class – Wednesdays at 9 a.m. at Yano Memorial Hall in Captain Cook
· Qi Gong – Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at West Hawaii Civic Center Pavilion
· Line Dancing Class – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Waimea Community Center
· Hawaiian Culture Exploration – Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. at Lily Yoshimatsu Senior Center in Waimea
· Intermediate Swimming – Thursdays at 8 a.m. at Kona Pier
· Senior Fitness Class – Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. at Yano Memorial Hall in Captain Cook
· Zumba Gold Class – Thursdays at 9 a.m. at Waikoloa Village Association Community Room
· Line Dancing Class – Thursdays at 10 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Tai Chi Class – Thursdays at noon at Hale Halawai
· Tai Chi Class – Fridays at 9 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Line Dancing Class (Beginner) – Fridays at 9 a.m. at Yano Memorial Hall in Captain Cook
· Computer Basics – Fridays at 9 a.m. at West Hawaii Civic Center Building F
· Tai Chi Class – Fridays at 10 a.m. at Hale Halawai
· Zumba Gold Class – Fridays at 10 a.m. at Lily Yoshimatsu Senior Center in Waimea
· Zumba Gold Class – Fridays at 11:30 a.m. at Hale Halawai
