Come “Be Our Guest” at the 26th annual Ukulele Festival and watch more than 120 students from four Hawaii Island schools perform some of your favorite songs from popular Disney films.
Scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, the festival will be held at Gates Performing Arts Center, which is located on Hawaii Preparatory Academy’s Upper Campus.
This year’s festival theme is “Be Our Guest.” It will be brought to life by students from Kealakehe Intermediate School, Waikoloa Elementary and Middle School, Parker Middle School and Hawaii Preparatory Academy.
Singers will delight the audience with hits like “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” from “Lilo and Stitch,” “Be Our Guest” from “Beauty and the Beast,” “Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from “Lion King,” and “We Know the Way” from “Moana,” among several others.
Students will be under the musical direction of Gloria Juan of Kealakehe Intermediate School, Lani Opunui of Waikoloa Elementary and Middle School, Sara Lilley of Parker Middle School, and Dagan Bernstein and Georgia Polakova of Hawaii Preparatory Academy.
