Kendall Maloney

Kendall Maloney, 63, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 9 at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born March 16, 1955, in Albuquerque, N.M., he was a former bartender.

Private service to be held.

He is survived by brothers, David (Ursula) Maloney of Keaau, Nial (Leslie) Maloney of California; numerous nieces and nephews.

John Perreira

John Perreira “Brother John” Aguiar Jr., 97, of Hilo, died Feb. 10, 2019. Born May 25, 1921 in Hilo, he was in charge of the Prison Ministries of St. Joseph Church in Hilo and led the Novena services.

Services will be held on Feb. 26 at St. Joseph Church in Hilo. Visitation 8 a.m., service at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survived by hanai daughter, Carleen “Haunani” Medeiros of Hilo; brother, Henry Aguiar of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Daniel Minan

Daniel “Danny” Joseph Minan, 78, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 17 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 7, 1940, in Sparta, N.J., he was a retired lieutenant for Hawaii Police Department and a 27-year Friend of Bill W.

Visitation 9 a.m. Friday, March 8 at St. Michael The Archangel Church, Mass at 10 a.m. Refreshments to follow.

He is survived by companion, Rose Mikula of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Dawn (Tim) Johnson of Honolulu, Danette (Newton) Kekahio of South Kona; brother, John (Margo) Minan of California; sister, Connie-Anne (Rod) Brotherton of Kentucky; three grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.

Allen Vincent

Allen Archie Vincent, 85, of Waikoloa, died Jan. 24, 2019 in Hilo. He was born and raised on the island of Oahu, served in the Korean War, worked in construction and auto body, and retired in 2011 from the Engineering department at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. March 9 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waikoloa.

Survived by spouse, Martha Vincent; daughters, Terryanne (Daniel) Ireland of Waikoloa; Cindy (Peter) Madix of Washington; son, Casey Anderson of Waikoloa; brothers, Frank Vincent of Honolulu; Herman (Sharon) Vincent of Washington; Victor (Cindy) Vincent of Idaho; sisters Betty (Phil) Stephan of Idaho; Bernadette Vincent of Idaho; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Emiko Enriquez

Emiko Enriquez, 92, of Hilo, died Feb. 10, 2019, at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Tsingtao, China, she was a retired secretary and interpreter for the U.S. Army and a homemaker.

Private services held.

Survived by daughter, Naomi (Tom) Enriquez-Soraoka of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Ruriko Matsuo of Japan; two granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.
