veterans continues throughout the year
Big Island Yoga Center will continue to offer free yoga classes to any veteran in West Hawaii.

Halliwell makes dean’s list
Brianna Halliwell of Kailua-Kona has been named to the Berea College dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester. To be on the list, a student must have a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least 16 semester hours of course work.

Bayer Hawaii Life Sciences Scholarship applications available
Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Bayer Hawaii Life Sciences Scholarship.
This scholarship program is open to students of all public and private high schools in the state of Hawaii who will be graduating in good standing this year and will be attending an accredited college or university to pursue a post-secondary education in a discipline related to the life sciences (including agriculture, agronomy, biology, botany, genetics, horticulture, plant physiology, chemistry, crop science and soil science).
As many as 10 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded in 2019. Applications must be received by no later than April 2.
