Flex Grants award $4.4M to nonprofits
Through the FLEX Grant Program at the Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF), 189 nonprofits across the state have been awarded a total of $4.4 million in unrestricted funds for calendar year 2019. Unrestricted funds allow an organization to prioritize its needs and respond to unforeseen circumstances or opportunities. FLEX Grants may be used for a variety of purposes including administrative costs, capacity building, program expenses, evaluations or salaries.

Manufacturing grant program seeks applicants
Are you a Hawaii company engaged in manufacturing, i.e., making something, pretty much anything? Did you purchase new equipment or pay for training on that equipment at any time since June 2015? Are you interested in having the state reimburse you for some of your costs on those purchases?
The State of Hawaii is seeking applicants, especially from the neighbor islands, for its Manufacturing Assistance Grant Program, which offers Hawaii-based manufacturers up to a 20 percent reimbursement (maxed at $100,000) on qualified expenses. Qualifications are broad, so please apply.
Deadline for application is March 15, awards will be announced by May 1.
