Eleanor Rutherford
Eleanor Jo Rutherford died Dec. 11, 2018, at her home in Minneapolis, Kan. Born June 29, 1930, in rural Lyons County, Kansas, she moved with her husband to Captain Cook in 1966, where she worked part time jobs as a secretary and a postal clerk. After the death of her husband, she retired and moved back to Kansas to be closer to her family.
A memorial service was held Dec. 15, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott, Kan. Memorials can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or ASPCA and left in the care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and H. Irene (Kerr) Heidrick; husband, Edward L. Rutherford; and one nephew.
Jo is survived by sisters, Marilou Wenthe and Willadonna Anderson, of Minneapolis, Kan.; 10 nieces and nephews, two cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

Steven Roney
Steven “Steve” Roney, 69 of Kailua-Kona, and Forest Grove, Ore., died Dec. 8, 2018, at Avamere Rehab of Hillsboro. Born May 12, 1949, at Redlands Hospital. He was a retired big game fishing captain.
A celebration of life will be held at Honokohau Harbor 3 p.m. Jan. 19. His ashes will be scattered by boat, with memorial service to follow at The Big Game Fish Club at Honokohau Harbor. Casual attire, and loose flowers welcomed.
He is survived by sisters, Shonna Cloud and Kim Noon; son, Joshua (Christine) Roney; daughter, Bridget (Jay) Overturf; four-granddaughters and one grandson and one niece.

Antone Cardoza, Jr.
Antone Cardoza, Jr., 93, of Hilo, died Dec. 11, 2018, at home. He was born on Oahu. He was a retired welder for Dole pineapple cannery on Oahu and former president of the Wahiawa Fishing Club. Private services will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to, Sadie Cardoza, 78 Moa Place, Hilo, Hawaii 96720. Survived by, wife, Sadie Cardoza of Hilo; 11 children; two sisters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anna Gordon
Anna “Dolly” Leah Gordon, 94, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii died Dec. 8, 2018, at her residence. Born in Glendale, Ore., on Jan. 2, 1924, she owned and operated a Mobil service station and was a judicial secretary. She was a member of Crimestoppers, Senior Mixed Bowling League, and an avid fisherwoman.
Visitation will be held at 9-10 a.m. Jan. 26 at the Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. scattering of ashes and luncheon to follow. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
She is survived by daughter, Nancy (David) Irvine of Kailua-Kona; sons, Bill (Solange) Gordon of Kailua-Kona, Danny Gordon of Redding, Calif., Robert (Kathy) Gordon of Elk Grove, Calif.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
