Originally launched this fall, North Hawaii Community Hospital is seeking additional residents to participate in the Comfort Rounding program to assist patients.
Volunteers receive special training from the hospital’s clinical educator to help move personal items closer to patients; provide extra pillows and blankets, magazine and activity books; respond to call lights; assist with ordering meals; and offer hot towels and aromatherapy.
Volunteers of all ages are needed and no special skills are required.
