More winter classes for our kupuna age 55 or older are available through Elderly Recreation services, with these taking place on Mondays starting Jan. 7:
Walking Moai – 8:30 a.m. Mondays at Lily Yoshimatsu Senior Center, 67-1199 Mamalahoa Highway, Waimea, with the Waimea Senior Club. Yearly club dues apply. Take a stroll, stay active, and get involved with the Waimea Senior Club.
Line Dancing Class (Intermediate) – 9 a.m. Mondays at Yano Memorial Hall, 82-6145 Mamalahoa Highway, Captain Cook with instructor Rena Rainbow. Get in step with this activity, a great way to keep active and stay healthy while having a good time. $10 fee for entire 10-week session.
Gateball – Noon Mondays at Kamehameha Park, 54-394 Kamehameha Park Road, Kapaau with the Kohala Senior Club. Yearly club dues apply. Engage in the fun and challenging sport of gateball.
Kohala Senior Club Meeting – 9 a.m. Mondays at Kohala Civic Center, 54-3900 Akoni Pule Highway, Kapaau. Talk story with your neighbors and participate in various activities. Yearly club dues apply.
Waikoloa Senior Club Meeting – Starting 9 a.m. Jan. 21 at Waikoloa Village Association Community Room, 68 Melia St., Waikoloa Village. Come talk story and participate in various activities every third Monday of the month. Yearly club dues apply.
