$150K in property, diesel fuel stolen from property on Napoopoo Road

CAPTAIN COOK — Authorities are investigating a theft that occurred on Napoopoo Road where hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of vehicles, fuel and equipment were stolen.

According to the Hawaii Police Department’s weekly crime report, the theft occurred on Nov. 23 on the 83-5800 block of lower Napoopoo Road. Maj. Robert Wagner said the property is a farm.

The report indicates an unknown suspect or suspects entered the property and removed 18 vehicle keys, took two white 2016 Dodge Ram 5500 flat-bed trucks with license plate numbers 823HDZ and 824HDZ.

Also reportedly taken were four Stihl weed wackers, three Stihl chainsaws, more than 200 gallons of diesel fuel as well as hand tools.

The items taken are valued at over $150,000.

The theft is currently under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call police at 935-3311.
